Green House Model
At Christian Care Communities, we see The Homeplace at Midway as the future and are excited to be on the leading edge of the effort to bring the first truly “person-centered” care community – also known as The Green House model of care – to Kentucky.
The Green House model takes the whole concept of caring for older adults and turns it upside down. It alters facility size, interior design, staffing patterns and the methods of delivering skilled professional services. It’s a radical departure from traditional nursing homes and assisted living facilities. And for people, it means the opportunity to receive the highest quality medical care and personal support in daily living activities – without feeling their lives are being disrupted or overtaken.
Features at Midway
Homeplace at Midway provides a continuum of care with:
- Two skilled nursing cottages serving a total of 23 residents in need of short-term rehabilitation or long-term care
- A 12-bed memory and personal care cottage for residents with dementia or cognitive impairments
- A 12-bed assisted living cottage for residents who need periodic assistance with daily living activities
- An administrative support/community cottage
Caring for the whole person
With a Chaplain and attractive Chapel inside each community, providing pastoral support and faith-based care to our residents and staff is a priority.
