Christian Care Communities Foundation is a charitable not-for-profit providing support to senior living communities and youth development services operated by Christian Care Communities. The Foundation’s three core pillars of support are:
Since 1884, no one has left our care because of a lack of financial resources. The Foundation helps support residents who no longer have the ability to pay the full cost of their care and services. Providing residents high quality experiences at Christian Care Communities requires approximately $1.5 million in annual uncompensated care throughout the state.
This program provides certified chaplains who bring support and compassion to residents and their families as they journey through life’s blessings and challenges. Our chaplains also minister to our employees as they extend care to our residents. This meaningful and mission-driven program is funded entirely by gifts from donors and churches.
The Foundation created a first of its kind program which combines senior living and youth development. This values to virtues education program is a formal partnership between the Foundation and the Congressional Award – the highest honor awarded by the US Congress to America’s youth. With its collaborative and dynamic approach, the program supports youth mentoring and intergenerational dialogue with the older adult residents and employees of Christian Care Communities. The Foundation uniquely fosters relationship building and is an inspiring model of youth leadership development, legacy building and sharing of wisdom between the youth and older adults in Kentucky.
As youth earn their Congressional Award Gold Medal, they are also introduced to future career paths in gerontology, health sciences, spiritual care and others.
