Congratulations David Stanley – Governance Leadership Award Winner!

At Christian Care Communities, David Stanley has demonstrated that exceptional leadership begins with a willingness to serve wherever you are needed most.

For more than seven years, David has brought his financial expertise, thoughtful leadership, and servant’s heart to the organization. When Christian Care Communities faced a transition in Chief Financial Officers, David even stepped away from the Board to temporarily serve in that role—putting the needs of the organization first.

As a member of the Finance Committee and most recently as Board Chair, David’s attention to detail and ability to turn complex information into clear direction have been invaluable. During his tenure as Chair, he attended every committee meeting, giving him a deep understanding of the organization while always respecting the important distinction between governance and management.

Through difficult decisions, David remained focused on the people at the heart of the mission—helping Christian Care Communities successfully balance margin with mission.

His steadfast leadership has strengthened the organization and supported both the elders it serves and those who serve them.

It is a great honor to recognize David Stanley of Christian Care Communities as the 2026 recipient of the Governance Leadership Award.

Congratulations Kristin Rains – Supportive Services Award Winner!

At Christian Care Communities of Corbin, Kristin Rains has earned a special reputation among her colleagues: she is the community’s cheerleader.

As Director of Human Resources, Kristin’s open-door policy comes with a warm smile, a listening ear, and a willingness to help wherever she is needed. Whether welcoming a new employee, supporting a team member through a difficult time, filling in at the front desk, or assisting with resident activities, Kristin never hesitates to step in.

She also knows that caring for residents begins with caring for the people who serve them. Through her aptly named “Fun Committee,” Kristin creates activities and recognition opportunities that make employees feel appreciated and connected. Her support is personal, too—once even using her own time and money to purchase new shoes and socks for an employee who needed them.

Kristin leads with compassion, positivity, and a servant’s heart, creating a workplace where people know they are valued and supported.

It is a great honor to recognize Kristin Rains of Christian Care Communities of Corbin as the 2026 recipient of the Supportive Services Award.

Congratulations Brandi Garner – Community Living Award Winner!

For nearly 12 years, Brandi Garner has been an important part of the family at Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods—and along the way, she has made an impact in nearly every corner of the community.

Brandi began her journey as a CNA, where her dedication quickly earned the love and praise of elders and their families. She later brought that same energy to her role as Activities Coordinator before stepping into her current position as Staffing Coordinator.

Today, Brandi helps keep the clinical team strong and supported, contributing to an incredible milestone: Bridgepointe has remained agency-free for more than two years. She has earned the trust and respect of her coworkers because she never asks others to do something she wouldn’t do herself. Whether jumping in wherever help is needed or even driving staff to and from work, Brandi is always willing to go the extra mile.

And Bridgepointe has become more than Brandi’s workplace—it’s where she found a community she loves and even met her husband.

It is a great honor to recognize Brandi Garner of Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods as the 2026 recipient of the Community Living Award.

Congratulations Vana Houpt – Supportive Services Award Winner!

Irvana knows that exceptional resident care starts with having the right people there when they are needed most.

As Staffing Coordinator, Irvana works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure residents receive consistent, high-quality care. But for Irvana, the job has never been simply about making a schedule.

With experience as both a CNA and CMT, she understands the demands of direct care firsthand. When a shift needs coverage, Irvana may be the one working alongside the nursing team. When another department needs help, she steps in—whether that means assisting Environmental Services or lending a hand wherever the need is greatest.

And she always makes time for residents. At the community’s recent Waterpalooza, Irvana could be found laughing right alongside them—and even becoming a willing target for their water guns.

Whether solving a staffing challenge or sharing a moment of joy, Irvana leads with humility, dependability, and a servant’s heart. Her dedication helps staff feel supported and residents feel safe, valued, and cared for.

It is a great honor to recognize Irvana Houpt as a 2026 recipient of the Supportive Services Award!

The stories of David, Kristin, Brandi, and Irvana remind us that exceptional care is built on compassion, service, and a genuine commitment to others. Their dedication reflects the values at the heart of Christian Care Communities and inspires all of us to continue our mission of serving older adults with dignity, respect, and love. Congratulations again on this well-deserved recognition.
