Rehabilitation Care – When You Need It Most!

Feel Better – Faster. After surgery you and your loved ones deserve a warm and inviting space that is focused on one goal – getting you back home! The Christian Health Center in Corbin is widely recognized as a premier destination for individuals transitioning from rehab to home. With a strong foundation in faith inspired values and a commitment to high-quality healthcare, we stand out for our comprehensive approach to rehabilitation. Whether recovering from surgery, illness, or injury, patients at Christian Health Center receive compassionate, personalized care designed to restore independence and improve quality of life.

One of the core reasons we excel in rehab-to-home care is our integrated therapy services and state of the art equipment. We offer a full spectrum of rehabilitative therapies, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Each therapy program is tailored to meet the unique needs of the patient, ensuring that progress is consistent and goals are attainable. Our physical therapy team works diligently to improve mobility, balance, and strength—key factors for individuals aiming to return home safely. Occupational therapy focuses on the skills necessary for daily living, such as dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Meanwhile, speech therapy addresses communication challenges and swallowing disorders, which are especially important for strokes or neurological difficulties.

Our team at Christian Care Communities is a standout feature. Therapists, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and chaplain collaborate closely, creating a holistic plan of care. This team approach fosters communication and compassion, while providing a seamless experience for the patient and their family. Our goal is not just physical recovery, but also emotional and spiritual well-being—a mission deeply rooted in our Faith Care Family values.

In addition to excellent clinical care, the environment at Corbin Christian Health Center is designed to promote healing and comfort.
The facility is modern, clean, and welcoming, with amenities that support both short-term stays and extended rehabilitation. Patients
benefit common areas, and opportunities for social engagement, all within a supportive, home-like setting. Recently, because of the generosity of the E.O. Robinson Mountain Fund we were able to purchase multiple new recliner chairs for resident rooms that enable residents to easily transition from sitting to standing while they are re- gaining their strength. These chairs also offer features such as a drink holder, with an attached swing table for laptop, cellphone or iPads to help stay in touch with family members while recovering. It is touches like this that ensure our residents feel taken care of during every step of rehabilitation.

Another feature that sets the Christian Health Center apart is the spiritual care foundation upon which our care philosophy is built. Residents and families often speak to the warmth, respect, and compassion they experience from staff. Prayer, pastoral care, and spiritual encouragement are available for those who seek it, providing comfort during what can be a challenging time. This spiritual care approach fosters a sense of community and reassurance that goes beyond traditional clinical care for our staff, patients, as well as family members.

Christian Health Center in Corbin is a part of Christian Care Communities with 10 locations statewide. We are the premier choice for rehab-to-home care because of our expert rehabilitative services, dedicated team, state-of-the-art facility, and compassionate, faith-inspired approach.
