We have been celebrating quite a lot at Christian Care Communities in Middletown. A Place for Mom recognized our community with a 9.7/10 score from reviews submitted by our residents and families. We are honored to be awarded the “2025 Best of Senior Living Award”.

Additionally, our community is bursting with joy that the hard work of our very own Josephine “Josie” Sabie has been acknowledged with Christian Care’s Employee of the Year Award. Josie was selected from hundreds of staff who serve in our ten communities throughout Kentucky.

Josie has been serving assisted living and independent living residents at Christian Care Communities in Middletown for 20 years. She serves as Director of Residential Services and leads a caring staff of eight caregivers around the clock. She provides competent and loving care to assisted living residents and their families daily, helping residents with all activities of daily living to keep them safe and comfortable. She has the challenging task of scheduling and managing a diverse group of caregivers, nurse aides, and volunteers. Nurse aides to ensure 24/7 care for assisted living residents, 365 days a year. She demonstrates creativity and flexibility when dealing with last-minute employee, family, and personal situations that impact staffing but is always focused on providing the best care possible.
Josie is an essential part of our management team at Middletown, juggling an oftentimes complex schedule of day and night shifts. She doesn’t hesitate to work nights or weekends when filling in for other staff members who are out sick or on vacation. She never complains and is always at work on time, often working many extra hours or even extra days a week.
In addition, she can also be found cooking, cleaning, leading activities and delivering meals to garden home and apartment residents. She consistently brings a warm, caring and assuring presence to residents, families and fellow staff members.
Josie is an encourager who quietly leads by example. Residents and their family members frequently share how much they appreciate Josie’s care and leadership. Our team is so grateful that Josie has been recognized as Employee of the Year.
